Parliamentary hearings “Important questions of the children security and development in the information space” were held in the Federation Council on April, 17.
Ludmila Bokova, Chairman of the Interim Commission for the Information Society Development, presented to the participants recommendations aimed at providing security of the children information space. Representatives of the 53 regions of Russia participated in their development. More than 450 proposals came from representatives of the 13 state authorities and 900 other offers from teachers and students directly. The main part of the recommendations was aimed at forming creative policies in the area of children information space and creation of the appropriate multi-level interdepartmental infrastructure.
Denis Zhilin, Head of Marketing of the “Smart Internet” Foundation, presented proposal to promote the placement of children’s Internet sites using addressing in the Russian top-level domain Дети to the Ministry of Education and Since and to the Ministry of Culture.
