Who is the owner of gTLD .ДЕТИ?
We perceive ourselves not as the owners of domain zone .ДЕТИ, but as its builders. And as builders we prepare a platform, make communications and protection; though then contractors decide what is to appear here – university, boarding house, or luna-park. In these concrete case the contractor is the whole Russian Internet with all its users, firstly children, and we hope that exactly children become consumers of our product. Of course, the interest to .ДЕТИ of Internet-bussiness, the State and social organizations is also important because the development of domain zone will depend also on their activity and their decisions.

What for to create a special space in Internet for the children?
The children’s perception is different from the adults one. Today the children from 6 to 12 compose the second group of online activity and the age of Internet initiation continues to decline. There are enough web-sites for the kids, aren’t they?
Not a single child will accept the only one website, he needs a variety. We propose absolutely new attitude. Let’s unite profile websites within domain zone .ДЕТИ to speak about specialized Internet environment, that is already governed, and in the same time is remained competitive-zone, where the classical concept of Internet informational freedom is realized.
By the one hand, there is commercial principle that seems irrational: stores that sell similar goods should be put together for increase profits. By the other hand, as far as we are on the verge of the next important stage of development of the Internet, and in such a storming time it’s better to stick together.
Here we suggest the industry to form a particular top-level domain zone in order to offer such an interesting and safe Internet to our children.
Will .ДЕТИ contain websites with just kid’s subjects?
.ДЕТИ is a social product aimed to protect children from harmful and dangerous information in web. We want to provide our children with quality product and we don’t intend to restrict web-content with just only kid’s subjects. Any resource, for example, from the .RU, can receive the second name in .ДЕТИ, after the Expert Board recognizes that it is comfortable and safe for the children.

Children aspire to discover the world around where computers and Internet came to every home. Today the average age of online initiation is around 9 years old, but there is a strong tendency to decrease it: children begin to go online at 5 years old, at 4, and even at 3.
What dangers do they meet in “Big” Internet?
To escape from social life is easier in the city streets than in Internet. It’s the commonplace that Internet is a mirror, where all human vices and virtues reflect as the fact that online is less and les different from offline. The vast majority of real situations found themselves in Internet, in new online forms. “Bulling” transformed into “cyber-bulling”, “ostracism” – into “mobbing”, “fraud” become “phishing”. But the sense didn’t changed: the conflicts lead to the experience of negative emotions. Children need our support, attention and care, especially in the Internet, because there aren’t enough nonverbal communicative aspects, which give around 80% of information on the interlocutor.
