A webinar dedicated to the skills of “digital self–preservation”, in particular, the protection of personal space and reputation in social networks, was held at the 19th Safer Runet Week.
On February 17, the 17th webinar of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ was held at the VK community’s Safe Childhood Information Environment, dedicated to the skills of “digital self–preservation”, in particular, the protection of personal space and reputation in social networks.
All webinars in the series are held with the information support of the Smart Internet Foundation.
The topic was chosen because the meeting took place in the midst of the 19th Safer Runet Week, an all-Russian educational campaign that brought together dozens of educational and industry partners to promote digital culture, share best practices in Internet security, inform Internet users of different generations about the risks of the digital environment and teach responsible Internet skills.
The guest of the broadcast was Danil Drozd, Director of Legal Affairs of the Likee social network in Russia and the CIS.
“There are no 100% reliable sources of information on the Internet. Even the presence of verification ticks and inclusion in official registers does not guarantee the authenticity of the content. Always analyze information on your own,” said Danil, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking in the digital age and the personal responsibility of each user.
Danil also spoke about practical protection mechanisms in social networks: from account privacy settings to methods of combating digital negativity. Special attention was paid to the issues of financial security and personal data protection.
