On February 26, experts of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the founder of our Foundation, conducted a Safe Internet Lesson for 4th grade students at a Moscow school in Lefortovo.
The Head of Special Projects Department of the Center, Alexander Drozdov, spoke about the main rules of safe behavior on the Internet and the importance of critical thinking: how not to fall for the tricks of scammers, what phishing and fakes are, why it is dangerous to post your photos in the public domain and correspond with strangers.
Chairman of the Youth Council of the Center Andrey Aleynikov told fourth-graders about a safe Internet space – the .ДЕТИ (dot DETI, which means “children” in Russian), which turned 10 years old on February 26. The Foundation acts as the administrator of the .ДЕТИ. He introduced the children to the Catalog of websites with an address in .ДЕТИ, which contains 150 of the best resources for children, parents and teachers. The first part of the lesson ended with watching a video from the Касперский.дети (Kaspersky dot children) project.
In the second part of the lesson, Andrey and Alexander conducted a “Study the Internet – Govern It!” Quiz. Students answered questions of reduced difficulty from the “CHILDREN” section: about computer structure, online games, social networks, instant messengers, gadgets, IT professions, etc.
