CANADIAN COMPANY POOL.COM HELPS BRING NEWEST WORLD’S DOMAIN NAMES TO THE MARKET

February 7, 2014

OTTAWA, CANADA (February 3, 2014) – As new Internet domain name registries move from business plans to reality, attention now turns to marketing and sales. Smart Internet Foundation – the registry for .ДЕТИ – selected Pool.com and its auction services platform to help accelerate their introduction to global markets.

26f7d89“Auctions are the best way to resolve contending applications during the introduction of new top-level domains,” says Pool.com CEO Richard Schreier. “They offer open access, quickly set true market value for web addresses, ensure the name space will draw real users and give the registry the resources to continually invest in technology and services.”

“In short, we were impressed by Richard’s experience and consultative support,” says Smart Internet Foundation Deputy Director Irina Danelia. “This impression was supported by positive references from previous Pool.com partners.”

.ДЕТИ aims to create a better online experience for children and teenagers in the Russian language by creating a space dedicated to offering sustainable, trusted, and quality content.

Pool.com has already made public some of its other global partnerships, including auction services for premium names and contention resolution to .ةةككببشش (.shabaka, translates to “web” in English) as well as the international geographical domains .wien, .brussels, .vlaanderen and .tirol. New announcements are expected to continue to roll out as registries sign their agreements with ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the organization managing the approval process.
